George is the Manager of Sandy’s. Having managed both The Oxford Wine Cafe’s, George has a good knowledge of wines, beers and spirits. George will be on site most of the time so do go and introduce yourself to him!
Chris, the oldest Sandy, is Director of Sport at Pangbourne school near Reading. Chris’s interest in Sandy’s came through his enjoyment of wine, especially ‘The Chocolate Block’ from Franschhoek in South Africa. A cool head and experience in and around Oxford is a huge asset for the team. If you see a 6ft 6 man in the corner with a glass of Syrah go and say hi!
Will Sandbach is constantly abreast of the drinks market and is always on the look out for new venues to move to. If he’s not playing rugby, cricket, football or tennis he’ll be on the case for the next Sandy’s expansion.
TK is recently new to the company. Slightly disappointed with her start to be honest, lacks wine and cocktail knowledge, doesn’t clean up after herself and frequent mood swings. Fingers crossed she’ll come good and up her game
Half Canadian, half Irish with a love of travel after living in six different countries. Garth is very much into adventure, music and festivals with friends and family so working in Sandy’s is perfect for him. At the moment he is definitely going through a straight peaty whisky and rum phase!
Costa, originally from Romania, is our cheeky bartender who will make you a mean rum cocktail. His love of wine and cocktails led him to us and he’ll show you his flair behind the bar if you ask nicely – a smile goes a long way with Costa!
Nik’s a proper Leicester lad. Still delusional about winning the league a few years ago, Nik heads up out events side of the business, Sandy’s On The Move.
Nik was a regular at Sandy’s Piano Bar and we have been desperate to hire him for some time. Finally we got the chance with our new concept and Nik has taken to it like a duck to water with our events company; so get in touch with him so he can make your event memorable.
Katie has joined us from Full City Ltd (The Perch, Portabello and co). A local Oxford girl who knows the city inside and out.
Katie moved away to Sheffield for four years to study Events Management. Whilst at university, Katie worked at a couple of the Revolution Bars up north on the events team. Studying and working meant Katie quickly became a top events coordinator and has since worked in various locations doing weddings, festivals and fairs.
We are lucky to have Katie join our team and together with Nik and George we are looking forward to having her expertise in the company.
